Get to Know Us
Opened in 1982, Tile By Tony, Inc. set out to offer high quality ceramic tile installation at reasonable rates. Over the last 30 years, we have expanded our products and services, to include full construction services. The original name stuck and though we now do so much more than just tile every body knows us as Tile By Tony .
Over the years we have kept the same principles in mind; to offer the very highest quality products installed by craftsmen to old world exacting standards. We are professionals and stand by our work, we do it right.
Most people prefer to hire one company for the entire project, this helps
to contain costs, keep schedules moving smoothly, and relieves the homeowner from micro-managing a project they probably don’t have experience with, or the pitfalls of hiring people who may not be professionals; therefore, we offer a turn-key job. From demolition to painting, from electrical to plumbing, and from tile sales to faucet sales and everything in between, we handle it all.
Not only are we fully insured, but we are proud members of the BBB, with
an A+ rating, and the HBA (Home Builder’s Association , Rogers county). You will also find us online on sites such as Angie's list also. Tile By Tony covers all work with a two year warranty on all work performed by our crews. We
provide free estimates that we fully itemize. We break the job cost down so it is easier to understand.
Tile By Tony, Inc. has a showroom that displays multiple shower and
tub splash displays, floor layouts, countertops, cabinets and many other displays along with a wide variety of tiles, many that can’t be found anywhere else in Tulsa, carpet, engineered wood floors, granite, glass tiles, and many other options. If a customer has found a product
elsewhere, we can usually find the same product or we can install a material that the customer provides. See store for details.

How to pick a Contractor
1. Decide on the scope of work. Knowing exactly what you want done will help generate a bid that is detailed, accurate, and less expensive. Give the same scope of work information to all bidders. That will get you apples to apples bids. Have a good idea what your budget is and let your contractor know prior to the bid. This will help him know what kind of finishes he should be bidding. If the job comes in higher than you wanted cut back on the scope of work instead of the quality. Consider doing the job in stages.
2. Know how much oversight you are prepared to do. Are you prepared to stay home to oversee the job, to chase down materials, clean up job sites, accept less than the highest quality of work, and possibly even have some involvement in the job? Then the low bidder will probably work for you. On the other hand, if you want to feel completely safe leaving your family and belongings at home while you're at work, confident in the fact the resulting work will be better than expected, then you should be prepared to hire a professional. You will have strangers coming and going through your home. You should be sure you can trust them. Remember, as with most things in life you get what you pay for.
3. So how can you tell the difference between an amateur and a professional? You will know right away,( though you may not realize it at first) when you meet a professional. They will be on time to your meeting or will have communicated with you about any delay in meeting you. They will be very knowledgeable, not only about their scope of work, but also about work that must be done by others, and how it all must all tie together. An accurate quote generally requires a lot of calculation so a professional will rarely throw out numbers. The professional's bid will be very detailed, laying out the scope of work and, when possible, the cost of each item. This protects both parties. If it is not itemized, it's not included. You then have the ability to go through the quote, understand where the money is being spent, and delete items you decide to do without.
4. Get references from friends and coworkers and check them out. The Better Business Bureau, the Home Builder's Association, and online sites like Angie's List are also a good place to start. Listen to your gut, it usually knows. Ask the contractor for references. Even a lousy contractor has had a good job or two, so ask for a few references, especially recent ones. What work did he do last week, last month, or even just yesterday? Check them out!
Has the contractor done the kind of work you want done? For example, hiring a contractor that does excellent backsplash work does not mean that he can remodel a shower. There is also night and day differences between a new construction contractor and a remodeling contractor.
5. Communication is a biggie. Without good communication between you and your contractor, the job WILL fail to meet your expectations. Communication is to construction is like location to real estate. If you have trouble getting in contact with a contractor before or during the quote process. how will they be during or after the job? Though voice mail has it's place, getting a live person answering your call when you have an important question is key. What use is a warranty if you can't get hold of anyone to fix the problem.
6. Does your contractor have a brick and mortar place of business? (or is he more of a "magnetic sign on a truck guy ") Though not a guarantee of quality, it does show that he has a commitment to the community. He will probably around far into the future.
7. Verify your contractor's worker's compensation and general liability insurance. Most homeowners fail to check these basic things. Your homeowners insurance will NOT cover you if someone gets hurt on your job. You could lose your home.
Testimonials
If you want the expertise of polite, professional workers; if you want to feel
safe and secure when strangers walk in and out of your house—in your absence; if you want to know that your every question, your every phone call, your every
email will be answered in twenty-four hours or less, mostly less; if you need
inspired designs and dazzling details, then Tile by Tony is the first (and only)
place to call. From the initial phone call to the last visit, everyone we spoke
to, everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful, polite, and completely
professional with years of experience. Our bathroom was gutted and completely
renovated with people as much invested in the outcome as my husband and I. Our next remodel will absolutely go to the fabulous crew at TilebyTony. (Don’t let
the name fool you: they can do

Just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with the bathroom remodel. From start to finish the project was handled with the professionalism, attention to detail, and fine workmanship that we know we can count on from you and your
crew.
Melissa always has a good eye when helping choose tiles. And this project was no exception. The accent tiles she suggested are just gorgeous and complement the larger tiles beautifully. She absolutely a delight to work with. Jeff and James are professional to a fault. I gave them an idea of what I wanted on the floor and tub surround and
they executed it perfectly. It turned out even better than I expected. All the rest of the crew from the plumber to the cabinet maker were all top notch. In fact I was so impressed with the plumber, Greg, that I will be using his services in the future.
I appreciated all the follow-up that you did to ensure all the work met your very high expectations. This was one of the least intrusive and painless projects that have been done in our home. And as you
know, there have been many. Thanks for a job well done and done on time! When it comes time to remodel out second bath you can be sure Tile by Tony will be our choice.

Tile By Tony has done wonderful work for us. We have been doing a home remodel and have used him as our contractor for over two years now. He has done tile flooring in our laundry room and half bath and replaced our fireplace surround with tumbled marble. He has done the tile flooring in our kitchen as well as the backsplash and the granite countertops. He did such a marvelous job on those areas that we called him again when it was time to redo our hall bath. That room was practically gutted, except for the cabinets, and Tony walked us through the whole process: tub and toilet, plumbing and fixtures, granite vanities, and especially
incredible tile work. We had a beautiful arch laid in, which has a masterful look to it. We plan on calling yet again when we are ready to finish up in the master suite. He will be doing granite vanities, tile wainscoting, a glass tile accent wall, and a floor-to-ceiling tile shower room. Tony is very meticulous and demands a job be perfectly done. Of course there are always problems and glitches, but with Tony they all become small problems. He backs everything he does and does not leave a job until everything is done perfectly. He never
questions or argues over a glitch, but gets it done to the customer’s complete satisfaction. He has a very good eye for style and design, and we have relied upon his expertise in a lot of different areas when we were unsure of how to proceed. We would – and have – recommended Tile By Tony to anyone who may be
considering any home improvement projects. Thanks, Tony, for making our house
such a beautiful place to be!
